In the heart of Temecula wine country, Ponte Winery has always been one of my favorites in the valley. From the moment I became part of their wine club almost ten years ago, I was in love with the wine, the European style venue, and the beautiful light around every corner on the property. It may be hard for the average eye to spot out perfect light when choosing your wedding venue, but you can take my word for it when I tell you this place is a photographer’s lighting dream. Your photos will be nothing short of amazing if you choose this property for your wedding day.
Makenna and Jared’s wedding had a 100% chance of rain in the forecast for almost a week leading up to their wedding day. We had a “rain on your wedding day” chat a few days prior and Makeena was so easy going and was not about to let the rain ruin her day. We did end up getting seven giant clear umbrellas just in case. As you will see from the images of their day, we never even had to take them out of the box! We did, however, have a beautiful soft overcast the entire day. It was such a treat because we were able to photograph in so many places that we otherwise would not be able to do to harsh light. We also had the entire property to use this day as no other wedding was happening on the other side of the venue. Needless to say that their portrait gallery is FILLED with so much variety!
One of my favorite moments from the day was their ceremony vows. They compared one another to red and white wine and how their personalities had many similarities. It was relatable when it came to Makenna and was quite an entertaining comparison. I hope you enjoy this stunning set of images as much as I do. For the family and friends who were not able to attend on their special day, I hope the story I tell through their images makes you feel like you were there.
