The wedding ceremony for Kyle and Erica at Lakehouse resort in San Marcos California was just beautiful, the weather was gorgeous with a slight overcast (a photographers best friend) and Erica and her grandmother made sure that this day would be full of details. The soft blush tones were everywhere. They paired so beautifully with all the crisp white florals making this wedding classic and elegant. The bridal suite they had is now my favorite space to photograph the bridal party and getting ready images. You can definitely tell based on all the images I showcase in this post! Yes, I may have gone a tad overboard on them but I just couldn’t help it! The soft light really set the tone for the rest of the day. Lakehouse prepared the reception space beautifully for this Jewish wedding. The Chuppah was draped in white flowing, sheer fabric with separate long strands of beautiful crystal jewels cascading down around the bride and groom.
The Rabbi was one of the most entertaining officiants I’ve seen in quite a while! He made the ceremony light-hearted, entertaining and extremely enjoyable for all the guests. We witnessed traditional Jewish wedding rituals from the Ketubah signing, circling of the bride and groom, breaking of the glass and Yichud, where the couple spends about 15-20 minutes in seclusion immediately following the ceremony. The Yichud was spent on a private boat trip and tour around Lake San Marcos. Kyle and Erica were both visibly beaming with joy during the boat ride. Erica’s father has passed away, but he definitely was there in so many ways. Erica had a pin on her bouquet with her father’s image and he was talked about in so many beautiful ways throughout the day. When Erika’s Grandfather stepped in for the father-daughter dance and it was such a beautiful moment. I even had a hard time holding back a few tears of my own as I watched tears roll down her face as she danced with him.
The reception details on the tables were perfect! The amount of florals really made all the difference by keeping the romantic tones of classic white and blush present throughout the day. Can we just talk about that candy bar?! I would be lying if I said I didn’t try one of their white chocolate dipped Oreos. After all, I had to make sure they were as good as they looked!
We both thoroughly enjoyed meeting and spending time with Kyle and Erica and their families. They’re both incredibly easy going and giving of their time for us. We wish you a lifetime lots of love and happiness!
