Last year at about this time, John got invited to a blogger event at a neat little art studio called Alexader Salazar in Downtown San Diego. They were featuring influential blogger’s and graciously asked John if he would be a part of it. We accepted without hesitation. This is where we met this amazing couple, Carey and Dale. Carey is a successful entrepreneur who owns a line of bowties and accessories called, Above Time. Their motto is to help and inspire you to live a well-garnished life. Can I just say that is one of the neatest business mottos I have heard in a long time!
When Carey reached out to us asking if they could hire us to shoot their wedding in 2018, I was SOOOO excited! Not only did I love their business motto, but I thought they were pretty amazing people as well. They had some really cool ideas for their engagement session. They wanted to tell their story the way they see it and live. Capturing the things they love to most together, telling their story and journey through their images is exactly what we did. There is no doubt they love art, so we met and the art museum first. Their fur baby pretty much goes everywhere with them so this was no exception. The museum even features some of their super cool bow ties. How cool is that!?
We headed on down to Mission Trails Father Serra Trail. The two of them hike here often so what better way to capture the afternoon with a little hike. We were not planning on dressing up on the trail but I suggested that we could get some really amazing images of the two of them in we did. After all, they have such great style and I really wanted to show that side of them too! We ended our afternoon with a fantastic day filled with a TON of laughter, affection and a truly beautiful relationship. We cannot wait to capture their wedding day next July! Enjoy their story!
