I feel like this post has been a long time coming. I have always loved to decorate so naturally making my office really pretty and comfortable is something that has always been important to me. Let’s face it. I spend about 10 hours a day in this space and if it’s not tidy, pretty and fun to be in, I am not going to be productive. Living in a house full of boys has its challenges. I needed a space that I could just be ME in and yes, I like pink! This space is my perfect place to add all my pretty pops of pinks and soft blue hues while still keeping it classy, soft, bright and clean. I’m sure you are probably reading this to find out where I got most of my things for my room. So let’s dive right in.
I do want to say that I am a pretty big bargain hunter. I have expensive taste but not so much on the budget. The ‘Keep it Simple’ sign came from Home Goods and it was only $5.99. The vase below it was Hobby Lobby and was $12. I shoved in some single succulents that I found in the Hobby Lobby plant section in there and believe it or not, they are held in place by pink Himalayan sea salts! I even sprinkled them with lavender oil and they smell sooo good!
The Lamp is from Ikea for $58, both pillows are from Home Goods at $15 each. My inspiration photo for the entire space is on the wall and that was from Target, drapes are from there as well.
Did you just say to yourself ” Ummm is that a PINK cactus!?” Why, yes! It sure is! I bought it at the local nursery and Cash and I spray painted it together and now, here we are living oh so peacefully together. Some of the art on the wall is from Hobby Lobby. My favorite is the quote “Messy bun and getting stuff done!” Desk is IKEA with the metal legs and a drawer is Ikea “ALEX”.
My shipping scale! Isn’t it adorable? I mean, I had to buy one that matched right?
White boxes and cubbies from Ikea. I love the little wire insert that Ikea just came out with. I put my bridal magazines that I ship to my newly booked brides in there.
Ok, so this space is where I actually sit all day and it’s still a work in progress. This wall will eventually have a few wall cabinets on them from Ikea. I bought one so far and it’s shown below. Each one put together is about $80. I opted for the soft close cabinet hinges and the natural wood door cover, but you could do white too! That is where I hold my Camera gear. Not all of it is pictured as some is in my House of Flynn bag. By the way, I did a review of my bag, you can find that post HERE.
So many people ask me why I have 2 monitors and I have to say man, will they change your life! You can edit and watch tutorials at the same time. Or movies, youtube or even have your workflow system like Tave or Honeybook up at all times. Oh, and because of I am the QUEEN of gadgets around here, here is my list of desk workflow tools:
G Drives backup storage drives with all my sessions on them. 8 TB and 3 TB are pictured.
Last but not least My Amazon Alexa Show. She is the one who is really the boss around here. She helps me keep my life straight!
Those cute little wall things are from Target. $5 each. The jar you see is FULL of silk ribbons for styling layflats. Don’t scold me for not folding them pretty! I swear some are wrapped in spool below. There is a wedding ring in a velvet ring box that I used for a styled shoot. It looks like a Mrs.Box but it was half the price on Etsy.
Last but not least my closet turned storage. there is the box on the Ikea cubes that will eventually hang on my wall.
There you have it! That’s my pretty space. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer. Oh. I almost forget, by the candle is my Nespresso. I need a shot or 2 of that around Noon to keep me going. As a matter of fact, that’s what I will do after I hit the publish button! Cheers! hope you like my space as much as I do!
