Are you looking for the perfect capture of your first kiss? Follow these tips to make sure you have that Insta-worthy first kiss captured perfectly.
You and your new hubby should be the only ones in the shot. Letting your officiant know ahead of time that you’d like them to move out of the way during your first kiss makes for the perfect photo. You can also ask your photographer to ask your officiant as well. A little back-up never hurts!
By holding the first kiss a little longer than usual, we can capture the perfect frame. Your first kiss as ‘husband & wife’ should be more than a one-second peck. Locking lips for a few more seconds will give so many more choices to choose from in your photo gallery.
Moving in nice and close to one another will feel and look much better. Your lips won’t be straining to reach each other resulting in duck lips. Embrace each other. This is your very first moment as husband and wife!
Remember the Disney princess kiss? Super slow, a soft smile, and a cheek hold? A slow, soft, kiss is the key here. When you are just about to lock lips, try not to smash your faces on one another and keep in your tongue. I have never seen a good first kiss photo with tounges caught in mid-air. Instead, have a soft smile and softly hold on to his cheeks or back of his head.
Kissing with your eyes open looks amazing- Said no one EVER! You will thank me on this one when you get your images back.
Every time I see an image with the first kiss ruined by a guest with a cell phone or worse yet a giant iPad, my heart aches. This could very easily be avoided by telling your guests ahead of time or having the officiant announce that all guests should be present and enjoy the ceremony with their eyes, not their screens.
