A February Lakehouse San Marcos Wedding
We arrived on a windy rainy Saturday. I have to tell you that Carly was the calmest bride I have ever met on a wedding day. Let alone a bride that has pouring rain in her forecast on her wedding day. The original plan was to have an outdoor ceremony on the lawn and for Carly to come in by boat but with the extreme weather, we had to go to plan B. Thank goodness they had a great team of people and staff that surrounded them at Lakehouse. I can only image how much work it was to change everything last minute. Her long time friend professional planner Donna Urban with Donna Urban Events was truly amazing during the entire process.
When I walked into the bridal suite the girls were getting ready and having lots of fun opening a few bottles of champagne. I kept having to peek around the corner while shooting my detail shots just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I knew right away this was a fun group of ladies! John was across the pond ( literally) photographing the guys in the groom’s suite. Based on the images we got they definitely looked like they were having some fun of their own as well! We decided to shoot the first look under one of the properties awnings because, at this time, it had started to pour down rain. We grabbed our trusty Totes bubble umbrellas and got the cutest images of these two!
The ceremony was a fast one and oh so sweet! We did the family formals indoors in a cute little nook in the hotel lobby. The bridal party was a blast together as we captured images of them all together toasting another glass of champagne.
Overall Carly and Kevin’s wedding day couldn’t have turned out any more beautiful rain and all. Enjoy this beautiful Lakehouse San Marcos Resort wedding and all the pretty little details.
