We first met Rachel and Steven at a Lakehouse Resort event earlier this year. When Rachel called and said she wanted us to capture her wedding day I was so happy! We got everything in order for their engagement session at a local rose garden in Temecula. Over a glass of wine at one of our favorite wineries Ponte, I turned to John and said how much I like the light and the location there so much. We sent them a quick little video asking if they liked the location and if they were willing to change it up a bit. They were on board, and we were thrilled!
Sunday ended up being such a beautiful afternoon! The weather was literally PERFECT. I almost feel guilty because I know our dear friends are in Chicago in 20-degree weather photographing engagement sessions! YIKES! Ok, back to 75 and sunny! While John was photographing the rings, Rachel told us their story on how Steven proposed to her at Wilson Creek Winery. We even got to see the ADORABLE photos on her phone with him on one knee in the barrel room! I feel like I need to see the engagement proposal from every single one of my couples from here on out! I just love seeing them and really getting to know their story!
Now that I know that a winery and wine were such a big part of their story, going to Ponte after all was a perfect match! I love all the greenery and white roses, and I am excited to share some of my favorite images!
We can’t wait for their wedding on St. Patricks day next year at Lakehouse Hotel and Resort

The winery is just magical, and the way you captured them is like watching a secret moment between the two of them. Love love these photos! xo
