Our Lady of the Rosary Church Wedding

When Janet, a past CMP bride, contacted me early last year asking if I would photograph a dear friends wedding, I said; “If she’s anything like you, I would LOVE to!” Janet was not only a dear friend of Rose but the planner for their wedding as well! Fast forward a year and here we are starting our day at Mission Bay San Diego capturing their getting ready photos before a short 10-minute ride in a vintage Rolls Royce to Our Lady of the Rosary Church where the ceremony was held.

The chapel was BEAUTIFUL! The history and architecture was amazing and we were able to capture so many beautiful images while Rose and Jeremy exchanged their vows.

We continued the celebration back at the hotel with portraits and some seriously amazing dance photos. I couldn’t believe how the dance party never stopped! There were so many people dancing from the moment we arrived until the time we left! 

I have to say that Rose’s Bridal party was one of the kindest I have ever had the privilege to be around. They were always offering a helping hand (literally)… THANK GOODNESS for that because I had my first wardrobe malfunction!! Normally, it’s not me, it’s always someone in the bridal party that needs fixing. I’m always prepared for these types of situations and I bring a small sewing kit, shout wipes, and a host of other things to fix them right up. Well as embarrassing as it is to say, I was outside photographing the dress and felt a bit of breeze on the side of my dress, as I look down I notice the zipper on the side of my dress had ripped open! OHHH MMM GEEE that was quite embarrassing!! Being on a strict time schedule, I had no time to fix it. I ended up having to throw on one of the bridesmaid’s robes and just keep photographing. I felt so silly but I had a job to finish before I could come back to my little situation. So ladies, THANK YOU for such kindness and help with everything. It’s moments like this when you realize that yes, you have a job to do but anything can happen and you just have to roll with everything that comes your way on the wedding day!

Rose and Jeremey, thank you for being such sweet souls on one of the most important days of your lives! Your energy radiated throughout the day. Your parents especially were so proud of you both! I could see it written all over their faces throughout the entire evening.
